Upper School at Hill Top

Grades 9–12 | Preparing for College, Careers, and Confident Independence

Upper School at Hill Top isn’t about rushing students toward graduation; rather, it’s about equipping them with the tools, mindset, and experiences they need to thrive beyond it.

For neurodiverse students in grades 9–12, our Upper School offers a college-preparatory curriculum blended with practical life skills, executive functioning coaching, and individualized support. Whether a student is bound for college, a technical program, or the workforce, Hill Top provides a personalized path forward with the structure, relationships, and flexibility they need to succeed.

What Makes Upper School Different at Hill Top

Classes follow Pennsylvania state graduation standards, with accommodations and differentiation built in. Core courses are grouped by skill level and supported by trained educators who understand how neurodiverse students learn best.

From managing deadlines to organizing materials, students are taught how to plan, prioritize, and problem-solve in academic and real-world contexts.

College planning begins early, with guidance counseling, dual enrollment options, and college essay and application support. Career-readiness experiences include internships, volunteer work, resume-building, and workplace social skills training.

Students can access a variety of electives and enrichment opportunities, including independent study, maker lab, digital design, visual arts, performance, and more.

Upper School students benefit from a close-knit, inclusive community that values differences. Through clubs, sports, and student leadership, they build social connections and explore new roles.
