What is Executive Functioning?

Have you noticed a pattern of missing assignments, low test grades, forgetting to complete tasks, leaving home without what is needed for the day, or avoiding communicating with their teachers? If so, Executive Function coaching may be a solution. Executive Function (EF) coaching is the science and art of guiding learners to strengthen their own capacity to get things done. It is essential for middle school, high school, and university students to develop executive function strategies to be successful, productive, and motivated.

How It Works

An executive function specialist will meet 1:1 to perform an initial assessment and interview with the participant. Goals and objectives will be set by the coach to be worked on during the weekly sessions.  Coaches will use progress monitoring, follow-up with the participants' teachers and families, and use participant feedback via self-assessments to gauge the level of success in each skill.
