Pathways to Independence (P2I) is a transformative summer program designed for teens entering 10th grade through their summer after senior year. P2I empowers participants to celebrate their unique strengths while developing essential life skills to navigate today’s world with confidence.
Program Highlights
- Individual Growth: P2I encourages teens to honor their individuality while learning to adapt behaviors and interact successfully in various social situations.
- Skill Development: Through hands-on experiences, mentoring, classroom instruction, and counseling groups, participants practice independent living skills, enhance self-awareness, and refine communication techniques.
- Life Preparation: The program serves as a key building block for high school, college, and future employment opportunities, focusing on personal care, pre-employability skills, and workforce readiness.
- Supportive Environment: Teens receive guidance and feedback from the dedicated P2I team and peers, fostering growth in a supportive community.
- PEERS® Social Skills Program: This has been integrated into the P2I curriculum. Individuals will learn the necessary skills required for making and keeping friends. PEERS® will take place in the morning hours of camp by a certified instructor.
Program Structure
Held on Hill Top’s campus, this six-week experiential program empowers neurodiverse young adults through engaging activities, group discussions, and targeted skill-building lessons. Designed to build confidence and equip individuals with essential tools for success, the program focuses on weekly themes such as embracing unique strengths, preparing for life beyond high school, and developing workforce readiness skills for a bright future.
P2I emphasizes three key areas to prepare teens for life beyond high school:
- Independent Living: Building essential life skills for managing personal responsibilities.
- College Readiness: Developing the tools needed for academic success and campus life.
- Workforce Preparation: Gaining pre-employability skills, including effective communication and professional behavior.
This program is specifically designed to support neurodiverse youth adults, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to thrive in their unique journeys.
TUITION: $1,125/week or $6,750 for six weeks
